As the first coastal temporary sewage treatment facility in Macao, the Macao Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal Temporary Sewage Treatment Facility Project is jointly constructed and operated by Zhenyao Construction and Guangdong Xinhuan Environmental Protection Industry Group. Its main function is to intercept sewage overflowing from the New Port Area to the coast of the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, and connect it to the temporary sewage treatment facility for proper treatment before discharging. With a daily average processing capacity of 9,000 cubic meters per day and a peak hourly processing capacity of 540m3/h, the facility was officially put into use in December 2021. It has greatly improved the problem of odor in the water quality along the coast of Macao, ensuring the quality of Macao's water environment. The process treatment facilities of the project mainly include: sewage interception system, sewage treatment system, sludge dewatering system, whole-process odor treatment system, and dosing system. All sewage, sludge, and odor treatment process equipment in the sewage treatment plant are developed and produced by Xinhuan Environmental Protection.
